The Sonovox cities cuts are on the infamous "dirty" session done when John Garry visited PAMS in Dallas. After the WGH Sonovox script was completed, the engineer kept the tape rolling and let John play with the Sonovox. The resulting tape has become a collector's item for many PAMS jingles fans.

Yes, Dick Lamb's name at birth back in 1938 or so was Norman Beasley. He has told a story about the station hiring a guy from Texas whose real name was Dick Lamb, When he arrived in Hampton back in 1959 Dan Hydrick apparently didn't like how he sounded...but it had already placed an order for new personalized jingles with his name. WGH hired Norman Beasley from a station in Alexandria, and then told him he was going to become Dick Lamb (so the station would NOT waste the couple of hundred bucks it plunked down for the jingles with that name). Most of the WGH jocks who were Dick Lamb's contemporaries used their real names....such as Roger Austin Clark (d. 1990), Ogie George Crawford (d. 1986), Robert Rowland Calvert (d. 1992). Aubrey Eugene Loving, Jr., did use his real name and John G. Lindemulder (on air name John Garry) used at least part of his real name.
