Jocko and the Chief were characters in the Big O Naval Tailors commercials. Big O was at 9887 Hampton Boulevard near the main gate of the Norfolk Naval Station. The Chief was a character with a lot of Calvert's personality (somewhat blustery). The mian rivals for the Big O (which had the slogan You can owe the Big O) was Bell Naval Tailors with the voice of the owner Old Bill. Jocko's girlfriend by the way was a character named Delphine (which he pronounced Dell-Feenie)
