Jim Stanley and his Breakfast in Bedlam was a true experience. Besides his golden turntables of good cheer, he would prescribe a menu of strange food items such as Owl Egg omelets, fricaseed buzzard wings, and stinging nettles on the half-shell. I'm told he was a motorcycle enthusiast and rode one most shifts from his home in the neighborhood near Sedgefield School in Newport News to WGH's studios on Mercury Boulevard in Hampton.
