One of the things I admire about many of those guys (and I include Richmond native Gene Loving and Baltimore area native Norman Beasley (Dick Lamb) is that they came to the land of WGH and essentially never left. Roger Clark (1923-1990) and George Crawford (1920-1986) literally spent the final decades of their lives there. Calvert made a brief detour to Charlotte N.C. in 1971 and Dick Lamb went to Dayton, Ohio from late 1960 (when he was replaced by Keith James) until he returned to the 'GH airwaves for the 7-11 p.m. shift on March 9, 1964.
