WGH began putting out Top 30 sheets in 1958, the year it ended its long association with ABC Radio. I know the first Roger Clark Wax to Watch was on March 30, 1958. It was English Muffins and Irish Stew by the late Sylvia Syms. I know one of Bob Calvert's Wax to Watches from later that year was Pussycat by the Ames Brothers (featuring knife-throwing actor Ed Ames) . That was Calvert's Wax to Watch on Sunday, September 7, 1958. The late Dean Collins of WGH (who became Dean Griffith of WPGC in the D.C. suburbs from 1960-64, and later worked at WMCA in NYC) had his pic on a WGH Top 30 sheet December 14, 1958 when the Wax to Watch was "The Diary" by Neil Sedaka (an artist from that era who's still alive." The last WGH Top 30 sheet I ever saw was July 29, 1975.
