Gene Creasy was born in 1928 in Lynchburg and graduated from that city's old E.C. Glass High School. He had spent parts of the 1950's working at Richmond area stations after he attended Richmond Professional Institute (now VCU). Creasy came to WGH on July 1, 1959 and lived in Hampton and Newport News until late November 1962. I believe he was the first of the Color Channel 131 Program Directors. I understand his widow Ella still lives in the City of Richmond or Henrico or Chesterfield Counties.
